Her power seems to be unique.

Somehow it seems this scaly spikey form is her true form.
And the "warbirds" look kind of similar....

A few questions - What do you think of:

1.) The mutatees (freaks) being the N5S Adaptees?
(Although I suppose that DRF/Microvolt would not know this until much later)

2.) Vief Chienna being the daughter of Reload and an Adaptee (or a mutatee if they are not one and the same)?

3.) Vief Chienna being a clone of Reload but with some gene splicing?

4.) Nyaldee's odd fingers as a child being generated by her own body?

5.) Could it have been that it was Loew's idea to send agents out to collect mutatees like Nyaldee?

I´m wondering why Nyaldee is wearing that mask and cloak.

Its true, everybody from the DRF is wearing something and that adds a cool and menacing look to them, but Nyaldee is beautiful....
If that is her true form.

It seems some of the guys are wearing masks because they are deformed.

Hmm, that image looks sort of familiar. What I find interesting about it is how one of the eyes looks almost feminine, though maybe that's just me. Most of the "enhanced" characters retain a recognizable gender, but when one goes so far beyond human you wonder why they bother.

More on topic, I thought that Nyaldee's "spiky" appearance in ch18 was just a result of dabbling in the same sort of cybernetic/biological enhancement as everyone else... otherwise she'd remain almost normal in appearance, and that's completely unacceptable.

I noticed that she didn't wear a disguise in her headquarters... Being beautiful doesn't really inspire terror in your enemies, so maybe she wore the mask and cloak specifically for the attack. Come to think of it, Higaide wore a mask too, even though he wasn't deformed.

Maybe, but I don´t think, that´s what Nihei wanted to show, because that´s just stereotypical. I really believe that he lost it with Nyaldee on the Recreator: What was the matter with her real body, for example. Why was it located at the end of the Recreator? And why, if Nyaldee was supposed to be all hippy nature loving did the her base look so alike 9JO? I think Nihei just needed A motive for his villain, and it just happened to be this one. Of course you can try to find reasons for that, or you can try to make the most out of everything while still considering that it´s most probably a fuck up from the authors side.

Another different matter: We know that Nyaldee was some sort of a "freak" with supernatural abilities. But she´s also immortal, or so it seems. So, could it be, that she´s just a variation of the "normal" immortals?

And because someone is going to bring it up eventually: Could she be a relative to Reload then? (I don´t think there´s any evidence for that, but still...)
