I just watched Angel's Egg and I must say it shares many similarities with Blame. There are two mysterious characters who seem to be the only inhabitants of a vast and apocalyptical world. A strange little girl, who carries some kind of egg around all the time and who has a habit of collecting glassbottles. Some time she meets this strange guy, who carries some awkward cross-shaped device around and follows her. Also there are strange fishermen who try to catch fish-shaped shadows, which, of course, reminded me of the fish motive in Blame!.
As in blame it's hard to explain the whole thing to someone who hasn't seen it, so I'm recommending this to anyone who likes Blame.
I didn't get that eye-sphere-thing.

Do you have a bittorrent link please ? (by PM, I don't want to do illegal things on this board) Thx.
This movie seems to be very beautiful, is it the work of Amano-san ? (I don't remember)

Yeah that's right, it is the OVA from which I took a screencap to make a comparison with Blame's fish (coelacanth) :
()
That's what Heeen is talking about in his post above. ^^
I think this scene in the short animation series is a tribute to Tenshi no Tamago.

The link from boxtorrents.com:
I'm downloading it now. Looks great, specially because it is Amano's work, and a love everything he does. Everything begun with the good old FFVI. =D

Yeah. I saw Angel's Egg first (I think) and the fish in Blame! rather reminded me of it, especially in the anime.
Angel's Egg is quite awesome... though not for everyone. I ate it up, but I'm weird. It is rather.. dry. Some would say boring. Ok, most of my anime club would say that after that one time I had us watch it. I haven't stopped hearing complaints about it since.
Then again, I think I might be slightly biased. Not only do I like weird artsy crap like this, a girl I was seeing reccomended it to me. She was a big Amano fan. She reccomended I see that and Eraserhead. Damn. I shoulda married her. Too bad we both were/are rather not quite mentally stable. No wonder we like weird crap like that.

Oh yeah, I also did Angel's Egg as my second cosplay after my first costime with Killy. Unlike Killy, it came out really shitty. I basically threw the gun together the nightbefore and used crappy hairsray instead of a wig. Then again it's the only cosplay of it that I know of. Though I'm sure if there is any other cosplay of it out there, it's much better. Someday I hope to redo it.

I just discovered this anime the other day (an Amano title I somehow hadn't seen yet?! blasphemy!) and immediately thought to check and see if there was a thread for it here. It's free on youtube now: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fIhKqaNp4DcIf anyone here hasn't seen it yet, go watch it!
