aaaaaaaarghh.. how i want a decent tank scans..
those mags scans are all crappy..
i think i think every manga should be read in bulk, hi-ass quality scans, it gives more understanding to the whole story, not once in a month mags scans
buuuut i just cant stand the temptation

A quite entretaining chapter after some boring ones. I have to say that although the fight is pretty good, I don´t like the looks of the new DRF agent. His design is very blocky or geometric and that gives him a too static feel. It resembles some of the Yukito Kishiro´s designs in "Last Order" for sure. I prefer the more organic feel of Higaide, Kaadal Spindal or even Sadan Rikan.
By the way, I hope some of the old character from the first 3 volumes of Biomega will reappear soon. The drastic change of the enviroment and the absence of all the secondary characters as Higaide, Kaadal, Nishu, Kozlow or Narain, makes these last chapters feel a bit like it´s a different manga what you´re reading.
Also I have noticed that since some chapter ago (more or less since the Earth and the Intercontinental Mooring Cable turned into this strage Nausicaä like landscape), the art of Biomega has had a drop in quality and detail, specially in the last couple of chapters.
If you compare the art in these last two chapters to any of the ones in the first 3 volumes you can see Nihei is drawing with much less detail and thicker lines, and using less screentones. The backgrounds and characters are much lees detailed now. The new art gives me the impression as if Nihei is now drawing in a hurry and directly with a graphic tablet.
I still like Biomega, but I really hope the art improves soon and the old characters will reappear to bring back Biomega to its former greatness.

Be patient, that might be a good thing.
Nihei could still keep up the pace with magerzine, I think it is a little better than those author who like to delay story on frequent basis. Besides, author's style always tend to change for some reason. Nihei may now being in period of change. The style could be transform into something better, we never know.
For the big twist of plot, I have my own thinking: Biomega was a short story that should be ended at Vol3 after the battle with DRF. But it is just too popular, so magerzine demand for a longger story, then Nihei has to create a new world in order to fit in a new journey(or plot). As all you can see that the turning point from the EARTH to the Nausicaä is pretty rough and without previous indication.
Well, there is one thing we sure about is that BIOMEGA back to starting point. Relax and enjoy it untile we see some old faces.(I miss kaadal though)

In fact, I like the way Nihei draws Zouichi and all characters in general now more, but I miss the detailed backgrounds and all the characters from the first 3 volumes.
By the way, seems like Biomega is getting more and more popular in Japan. When volume 2 came out, the highest it rank in the Tohan sales charts is 94, volume 3 ranked 62 and volume 4 is ranked today 20!!!
