sadly, i'm too familiar with this phemomeonenon.

in biomega/blame/abara era everyone was mindfucked and now he's working his 'shonen' manga which is way lighter and brighter and watever, though the battles and gaunas are not missing his awesomeness.

it's like those old bands in their 20's who were full of anergy/anger and just pissed off all around and now just making boring songs about love/peace/understanding/acceptance/motivation

while i do not think the anime is crap, it's just another anime for me and dosent quite represent the feel of the manga, let alone the awesomeness;
the asteroid and tanikaze/suzumega battles are top notch, close to -although quite short, always gives me goosebumps- killy/schiff battle.
i think the last 4 volumes of blame! are nihei at his best, eventhough he's a way way better artist now -you can see this from the art on cydonia- blame! still stands out; the feel/premise/characters/interactions. i love how the way of surviving is to shoot/stab/kill first, move along/ask later, if they feel like it.

the chances of nihei doing blame! related stuff is like at the drive-in going back together and release a full album, if you ask me. which you dint.

i'm gonna fucking flame him on twatter if he actually did it next chapter.
