When he does a sci-fi manga with the story on par or better than other greats such as Akira, Planetes, 2001 Nights etc...

In my opinion I think that Nihei should go for something completely different. I know that he's the absolute best at doing dark sci-fi and architecture, but I would love to see something more in the vein of Min-Woo Hyung's 'Preist' manwha or perhaps a collaboration with Tatsuyuki Tanaka. If that happened I could die happy!
Or just more Abara... that'd be cool.

I really think that some sort of explanation (through manga of course) should be given to show what happened after Abara.
I would also like to see something completeley different from Nihei, but it would have to be oppressive, industrial and distantly futuristic.
...and I also want to see a continuation of Killy's story...I Need More Killy!!!!

I'd like to see Nihei do his interpretation of Apocalypse Now in manga form.

Or how about Lovecraft? I'd love to see a Nihei interpretation of "Dream Quest of Unknown Kadath".

Well, after seeing his big Safeguard Biomecha, maybe he wouldn't be too bad at Lovecraft's "Call of Cthulhu."

I think Lovecraft would be perfect for Nihei's style, his stories are suitably lacking in dialog.

How about a retelling of other characters searching for net terminal genes? They've never heard of Killy and they are human.
