Does anyone know if the Sidonia no Kishi volumes will be officially released/printed in the US?

Depends. Perhaps. I doubt it. It's rather diff from other Nihei's works. I been reading it for a while and I still don't know if I like it or not. It's kinda far fetched and the art style's been really getting sloppy lately, it's like sketches.

Sidonia is great, I think its a shame people reject it just because its not Blame!

I enjoy it a lot. Sidonia has little to do with Nihei's other works, but it's a nice manga. There's more humor and the artwork itself is more fluid and clearly outlined. It's like Nihei shared dinner with the reader and let them sleep on his couch.
Change is to be expected of everything. I don't mind that about Nihei's work. It probably reflects a newfound joy in his life.

After the way Biomega ended, I'm glad Nihei made something a bit more coherent and consistent.
And people pan Sidonia for introducing a lot of cliches, but its turning out to almost be a deconstruction of the mecha-space-opera plot. Especially in how it actually tries to maintain a bit of scientific accuracy (in terms of how stuff actually moves in space) and internal consistency.
Sadly the scanlations have basically ceased right as the plot is getting really interesting.

Great! Is there a way to download all the stuff so far, I don't fancy reading them online.

Damn. Now it all started to make sense. ^_^
Nihei-san has really improved. And that is good.
